Larissa Hoops -- Fine Art
Artist Profile
Primarily a painter, I also enjoy working in collage and mixed media. Broadly speaking I am interested in people, their histories, their social situations and cultural complexities. My recent work involves putting together domestic scenes using everyday objects and printed media to create quiet narratives. These narratives are my observation and responses to topical situations that I feel compelled to question. I like to use colour and humour to humanise my work and invite the viewer in.
