N’ayant pas trouvé la voie pour s’inscrire officiellement au programme du Festival mondial de Arts nègres, l’Espace Timtimol, qui soutient les artistes et qui revendique sa place dans la vie culturelle sénégalaise, a choisi de créer son « off » et de présenter un projet, qui, à travers une démarche artistique, participe à la réflexion sur le devenir de l’Afrique.

Ce projet, initié par l’artiste visuel Pascal Nampémanla, est un travail de création autour d’un objet de consommation courante : la bouteille de boisson, en matière plastique.

Cet objet, largement rentré dans le quotidien des Africains, témoigne d’un changement au niveau des habitudes de consommation. Il sera mis en scène dans une installation qui dénonce les conséquences négatives de ce changement sur la santé et sur l’environnement, par son contenu chimique et trop sucré et par son contenant en matière plastique non biodégradable.

Ce projet, qui est avant tout artistique, souligne l’importance de l’art comme moyen de sensibiliser les citoyens, les médias et les pouvoirs publics sur une problématique qui concerne tout le monde, car chacun de nous peut chercher à modifier ses comportements pour contribuer à la préservation de l'environnement.

Plusieurs artistes de différentes disciplines seront donc associés à ce travail de création et de réflexion lors des ateliers d’expressions qui se dérouleront du 11 au 17 décembre, avec un après-midi où les enfants seront invités à participer à un atelier d’expression conçu pour eux; la problématique sera reprise par des présentations, des débats et des projections de films auxquels participeront des scientifiques et des professionnels de l’environnement.

L’Espace Timtimol appelle donc dès à présent :

Les artistes de toutes disciplines qui souhaiteraient participer avec Pascal Nampémanla et d'autres artistes aux ateliers d’expression autour de la bouteille en plastique.

Lancement samedi 11 décembre à 19h, puis tous les après-midi dès 15h jusqu’au 17 décembre.

Les enfants qui souhaiteraient participer à l’atelier d’expression pour enfants : fabrication d’objets avec les jeunes artisans de ECOPOLE, fabrication d’instruments et musique avec Gabi, conte et écriture avec Khady.

Dimanche 12 décembre dès 15h30.

Le public et les membres qui sont invités à participer symboliquement à l'atelier, en apportant pour les artistes, les bouteilles vides de toutes tailles dont ils aimeraient se débarrasser.

Tous les jours jusqu’au 16 décembre.

Bad Fruit - Workshop Project at the Espace Expression Timtimol

Having found no way to formally register the program at the World Festival of Negro Arts, Space Timtimol, which supports artists and its place in the cultural life of Senegal, chose to create its "off" and to present a project which, through an artistic approach, contributes to the reflection on the future of Africa.

This project, initiated by visual artist Pascal Nampémanla, is a creative work around an object of consumption: the beverage bottle, plastic.

This object that entered largely into the daily lives of Africans, demonstrates a shift in consumer habits. It will be staged in a facility that denounces the negative consequences of climate change on human health and the environment, for its chemical content it’s containing of non-biodegradable plastic.

This project, which is primarily artistic, stresses the importance of art as a means of educating citizens, the media and government on an issue that affects everyone, because each of us can seek to modify its behavior to contribute to the preservation of the environment.

Several artists from different disciplines are therefore associated with the creative work and reflection during the workshops to be held from December 11 to 17, with an afternoon where the children will be invited to attend a workshop designed for expression. For them the issue will be taken up by presentations, discussions and screenings of films involving scientists and environmental professionals.

Space Timtimol therefore call upon;

Artists of all disciplines who wish to participate with Pascal Nampémanla and other artists in the workshops of expression around the plastic bottle.

Launching Saturday December 11 at 19h00 and every afternoon from 15h00 until 17 December.

Children wishing to participate in the expression workshop for children: making articles with ECOPOLE young artisans, instrument manufacturing and music with Gabi, storytelling and writing with Khady.

Sunday, December 12 from 15.30.

The public and members are invited to participate symbolically in the workshop, providing artists with empty bottles of all sizes they would like to get rid of.
