Paul Darga is a Fine Artist.

Paul Darga

Paul Darga was born in 1958 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. After various trips to Italy and Germany, he entered the civil service and Burkina Faso continues his parallel career as an artist. Museum curator, he taught at the National Institute of Education Artistic and Cultural Gounghin and participates in various exhibitions.Paul Darga was one of the few artists from Burkina Faso to control both the academic techniques of drawing from observation. He also excels in the field of monotypes. He adapted his techniques to the topics it addresses: disregard for the religious and the sacred, in his most suitable to represent the invisible and figurative realism to the scenes of life and characters. Currently, he works on themes related to magic and unreal drawing formally directory plastic from African Heritage (masks, writings, signs) which allows it to use traditional materials such as plant fiber, feathers or laterite.

2000: A Gallery Zaka, Ouagadougou 5e World Triennial of small print size camel.

2003: Print Triennial Exhibition of the camel drivers in Canada to  Montreal in April 2OO4 to Blow Up (La Tour du Canada).

2OO3: Commissioner, Art Grand Prize of Photography. Rapporteur-General of the seminar workshop on the status of the artist held in Kaya, President of the association TEKDA.
