Announcement of DAK’ART 2012

The General Secretariat of The Dak'Art Biennale would like to announce The 10th African Contemporary Art Biennale, DAK’ART 2012. DAK’ART 2012 will take place from 11th of May until 10th of June 2012.

DAK’ART is an international artistic event devoted to African visual Arts and gathering around various activities, African and foreign artists, as well as contemporary art professionals from all the continents. The main events for DAK’ART 2012 will include:

Related Events

Artists individually or in organizations or gallery managers, can organize related events in partnership with the General Secretariat of the Biennale. These related events organized within the framework of DAK’ART, by individuals (artists, gallery owners, managers, museums and other institutions) are entirely financially supported by their organizer(s). Depending on the interest of their content, they might be listed in the general program of events published by the General Secretariat of the Biennale.

International Exhibition

The International Exhibition at DAK’ART 2012 is open to African artists with also a presence of African Diaspora artists. Interested participants are requested to send works that are yet to be shown in any other international exhibition, to the Interational Selection Committee [details included in the Regulation and Application Forms]. There will be the awarding of different DAK'ART prizes by an International Jury.
